Following in the foot steps of my photographic hero's, I decided to make an american road-trip, I packed up my cumbersome 5x4 camera, and heading for the Northeastern United States and Canada.

Travelling with no real aim or idea, out of season, in my rented camper van La Fonda (named after a character in the film Napoleon Dynamite), getting lost driving around sparsely populated areas of Canada. It was an often lonely journey, and the resulting images speak of the loneliness and quietness I experienced, both within myself, and also in the landscapes i encountered.
